I am a dedicated practitioner of mindfulness and meditation, with a decades long practice, both on and off the cushion.
I am Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness Certified Practitioner. I hold a BA in Cultural Anthropology and an MA in Counseling Psychology. I was a somatic psychotherapist intern in California before returning to my New England roots and establishing Wakefulheart Practice - a mindfulness based practice serving groups and individuals. For over a decade, I have been teaching fiber arts and handcrafts (sprinkled with mindfulness and meditation) to grade school and middle school students. I recently returned to teaching mindfulness and guiding practice.
I live on the southern coast of Maine where the sky, trees, rocks, rivers, plants, birds, islands, animals, insects, beaches, and marshes offer endless beauty, a source of grounding and a community for which I am deeply grateful.
